Long before daylight, an anxious soul paces the hardwood floor, standing guard within reach of the fireplace..... A host of single-file shadows crowd the wall leading to the gateway of the great outdoors.  To this soul, time is nearly frozen, yet hurriedly wasting by..... With enough desire to move the world, this anxious soul speaks softly enough to remind just one person of what day it is..... In a manner that only such a soul can manage, this nervous being 'woofs' quietly, prodding her hunting partner with her cold nose, as to say, "wake up, its almost time to go".

  Gathering all the day's gear is a tedious job.  A once nervous soul is now a constant worry..... "Did he pack his calls?  Did he pack my treats?"  As her hunting partner squares away his gear on the living room table, a worrisome warrior sniffs out her own peace of mind, finding comfort hidden beneath the duffle bag cover.  As the two load up the truck, the worrisome warrior, and her prize hunting buddy, are off for another morning of feather-filled fun.

Unbeknownst to the now ramped-up retriever, itching to scratch her pintail-fever, this day is more than the usual hunting Saturday..... this is the day a new Super Retriever Series winner will be found.  "Savannah" realizes the field is awful crowded today, what with all the other 'hunters' around.... but she is quick to remember her days of focus-training..... all the single marks, blind retrieves, casting through heavy scent; things that taught a once anxious girl to learn her way through tempting worry, and into a retriever champion.  Savannah is about to set the retriever-world on edge.... for this is the SRS, and she is locked on being #1.....
